JOE FRANK MARTINEZ
Joe Frank Martinez grew up in Del Rio, TX and attended Del Rio High School. While in high school, Coach Martinez was a member of the Varsity Football Team. In 1993, the Rams won the District Championship for the first time in 20 years. He was voted team captain during his senior year and graduated from Del Rio High School in 1995.
Coach Martinez attended Sul Ross State University and majored in Mathematics with a minor in Kinesiology. He graduated from Sul Ross in December 2003.
Coach Martinez began working at Travis High School in January 2004. He has taught various math classes and physical education. Coach Martinez has coached football, softball, boys soccer, boys and girls track, and boys and girls wrestling. Currently his title is Assistant Head Football Coach/Linebackers and Head Wrestling Coach. He has been the Head Wrestling Coach at Travis since 2009.
During his time as Head Wrestling Coach at Travis, the Boys Wrestling Team has finished as District Runner-Up in 2009-10 and 2010-11 and the Girls Wrestling Team has finished as District Champion in 2009-10 and 2010-11. Since 2009, the Rebels have had 19 Individual District Champs, 49 Regional Qualifiers, 2 Regional Runner-Ups, 1 Regional Champion, 3 State Qualifiers, and 1 State Placer.
Coach Martinez is blessed to share his life with his amazing wife Jackie and his step-son Jordan.

SALVADOR MEZA
Salvador Meza grew up in Socorro, TX and attended Socorro High School. Coach Meza was a member of the Varsity Football and Varsity Basketball Teams. He was 2nd Team All District cornerback in football in 2006. Coach Meza was also Academic All District in both sports in 2005 and 2006. He graduated from Socorro High School in 2007.
Coach Meza attended the University of Texas at Austin and majored in Spanish with a minor in Business. He graduated from UT in May 2011. Upon graduating, he worked for Americorp as a bilingual literacy tutor.
Coach Meza began teaching and coaching at Travis High School in August 2012. He teaches math and coaches football, baseball, and wrestling.
In his spare time, Coach Meza enjoys playing outdoor sports, attending UT athletic events, and going to concerts.
